Maritime Archaeology Trust
Many sites of maritime significance are ever more in danger of destruction due to erosion, commercial activity or exploitation. These physical dangers are also amplified by global economic conditions, with less and less money being afforded to cultural and heritage projects.
We believe that this reduction does not pose a significant risk to other areas of heritage but, for maritime heritage where artefacts often remain in harsh, ever changing environments, it highlights the need for physical and financial support.
As a registered charity all of our work protecting and promoting maritime heritage relies on goodwill, grants and support from organisations.
